About Letterpress Printing
Letterpress is the oldest form of printing. It's European development started with the Gutenberg in the 1450s, and it was the method used commercially until the 1960s Today, the machinery and the skills are rarely used, but it is the greenest form of printing there is, requiring a keen eye and a steady hand.

Our printers are using presses from the Victorian era, and hand set metal type which is returned to the case for re-use after each job is finished. Letters are inked and pressed against the paper, leaving a subtle impression so that ink and paper become one. |
